Creative England offers Interest Free Loan and Equity Investment schemes to boost digital businesses

Digital business looking to grow can take advantage of help from Creative England's funding options to help realise their ambitions.

Creative England are offering finance opportunities to help digital businesses based within the English regions (outside of Greater London) development and grow. 

The aim is to help small businesses create sustainable new jobs, develop exciting intellectual property and progress the future of England’s thriving creative industries. 

Equity Investment Programme 

Supported through the Regional Growth Fund, this programme offers early-stage digital businesses chance to apply for Equity Finance of up to £250,000. 

Businesses are required to match the funding provided by Creative England, must be based outside of Greater London, and jobs must be safeguarded or created as a result of the investment. 

The investments are ideal for those businesses currently in a round of financing or funding, with the Equity Investment Programme ideally forming form around 25% of the total fund raise. 

Interest Free Business Loans 

Also supported through the Regional Growth Fund, SMEs can apply for interest-free loans of between of £50,000 and £200,000 that can be repaid over a maximum of three years. This repayment period is flexible and will depend circumstances and on the type of product being developed. 

Applicants should be reasonably well-established businesses based outside of Greater London, with a turnover of at least £200,000. Loans must be matched 50:50 by the company.
