Employers can advertise their job vacancies for free

South Devon Jobs is launching a free 30 day trial to new clients.

The online jobs portal, created by the Torbay Development Agency (TDA), provides an easily manageable account for businesses to log in to and feature their vacancies. It’s simple to sign up and pay for a listing, which goes live immediately.

In addition to the free trial, South Devon Jobs is also offering free listings to any South Devon employer advertising an apprentice role or position for a first time graduate.

Elected Mayor of Torbay, Gordon Oliver, said: 
“Our aim is to support local businesses in every way that we can. A number of projects are taking place to support local business development and this dedicated website will help promote businesses as an employer and help them recruit the people with the right skills, while supporting job creation in Torbay.

“There is a particular focus on providing graduate and apprenticeship schemes to help young job seekers find inspiring work and companies to benefit from enthusiastic and willing learners.”
The website has been developed in partnership with Torbay Council and Job Centre Plus to assist businesses with growth and support employment in South Devon.

The website’s key features include a visually striking homepage, clutter-free pages which focus on the vacancy and an easy to navigate menu. This alternative form of advertising jobs will assist unemployed South Devon residents get into work and increase the potential of job seekers relocating to the area.

Debbie Passmore, Partnership Executive at the TDA, said: 
“The website gives employers based in South Devon an affordable, one-stop, central resource to reach job seekers and fill their vacancies. It proactively links with tSpace, where jobseekers can access advice, information and direction to assist them in their job seeking and application process. It further supports South Devon businesses in recruiting professionally and efficiently.”
With prices from £50 for a 4-week job listing, it is competitively priced and a cost effective method of reaching new employees. Companies needing to advertise a number of jobs can benefit from an unlimited annual subscription, with price starting at £300.
