Inspiring new business people during Plymouth Enterprise Week
Plymouth Enterprise Week is taking place across the city from 14–20 November, including a host of events to celebrate new ideas and business start-ups, and inspire a new generation of entrepreneurs.
Plymouth Enterprise Week is run by the City of Plymouth and the University of Plymouth. Events include a ‘pitch perfect’ workshop on how to sell a new business idea; networking afternoons to meet key local business people; and ‘Soup’ – a live Crowdfunding event where entrepreneurs pitch their business to an audience, who then pick the winner of a cash prize.
The University’s Cornwall campus, The Knowledge Spa in Truro, is also holding a MediDigi hack event, designed to connect digital entrepreneurs and developers with the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust's medical and wellbeing teams to explore ideas and identify opportunities for innovation.
The packed programme contributes to what is now known as Global Entrepreneurship Week, which takes place every November and plays a critical role worldwide in encouraging young entrepreneurs to consider starting up their own business and explore their potential as innovators.
