Soup served up as Plymouth Enterprise Week finale
To mark the close of Plymouth Enterprise Week, GAIN with Plymouth University will be holding one of their popular Soup events, welcoming audience members for all sectors of the local community.
Soup sees a small group of investment-hungry entrepreneurs pitch their business idea to a live audience. Each entrepreneur has just four minutes to convey their idea and convince the room of their investment-worthiness. Using the power of the crowd, the audience then votes for their winner, who receives a cash prize of the takings from the door (made up to a minimum of £500) and a unique package of business support from GAIN, Futures Entrepreneurship Centre, Formation Zone, and Devon Chamber.
The events attract a varied audience of local business people, members of the public, business support providers, and University staff and students. The Plymouth Enterprise Week Soup will take place on Friday 18 November, from 12.30 - 2.00pm, at Plymouth University’s Rolle Marquee in the heart of the city centre campus.
Soup provides delegates with lots time to network with their fellow 'dragons' whilst enjoying a hot soup lunch, which is kindly provided by sponsor, University Commercial Services Plymouth Ltd (UCSP), and is much about making connections as it is about finding investment.
To take part in Soup, and to join in getting a brand new business idea off the ground, tickets are available from the University's eStore and cost just £5 - which include lunch and your all-important vote.
