The Hub – Cornwall’s Dynamic Business Network
The idea for the Hub was born in January 2002 after many business people seemed to be put off or daunted by the prospect of going to traditional networking events. As networking and word of mouth is so important for business in Cornwall it was decided that there was a need to create an environment where those new to business (or young people), could learn to network in a more relaxed environment with like minded people.
So in January 2003 the Hub was created with a spectacular launch at the National Maritime Museum where 120 people attended.
Since then the Hub has gone on to host a range of prestigious events across Cornwall at venues including the Eden Project, The Tate St Ives, Rick Stein’s Seafood School, Lusty Glaze, the Innovation Centres, Skinners Brewery, St Austell Brewery, St Moritz Hotel and Watergate Bay.
Run by a steering committee of dynamic people in business in Cornwall the Hub aims to represent the needs and ambitions of our members by providing them with the space and time to share ideas and learn about business with other Hubbers.
