What is GAIN?

GAIN is the Growth, Acceleration and Investment Network. It was founded by Plymouth University, Plymouth City Council and Tamar Science Park to accelerate the creation, growth and investment in high quality businesses and ideas to create wealth and jobs in the South West.

Who else is involved?

GAIN is a regional partnership that also includes Formation Zones in Devon and Cornwall, Cornwall's Unlocking Potential enterprise programme, Cornwall's three innovation centres in Pool, Tremough and Truro, the Beacon peer-to-peer business network across the South West, the national University Enterprise Network and world class University R&D; facilities. Through its partners GAIN is involved with more than 500 businesses employing more than 32,000 staff and turning over in excess £2.7 billion.

GAIN builds upon and adds value to the existing range of business services, assets and facilities by joining them all up, making them focused and accessible. This has brought together a variety of business infrastructure, research facilities and expertise in a network focused on growth-minded businesses and investors.
