51 Studio celebrates first birthday
Graphic design company 51 Studio is celebrating its one-year anniversary today (1 March).
The company was started by Creative Director David Tetley in 2010, becoming a fully-fledged business on March 1 2011 – the day which also saw the appointment of Managing Director Anouska Wilkinson and the move into their first office at Plymouth University’s Formation Zone.
The Formation Zone, which is a part of GAIN, provided 51 Studio with the support it needed to get going and introduced David and Anouska to two other new businesses, Altitude and Actuate Marketing, with whom 51 Studio has now formed a full-service creative agency.
The three businesses have now moved together to new studio space at Royal William Yard where they continue to expand as a consortium.
Managing Director Anouska Wilkinson said: “What a year it has been - we’ve moved, tripled our client base, worked with the NHS, Plymouth City Council, Bristol Council, lots of start ups and community initiative ‘The Union Street Project’. And we are currently working on a number of exciting projects with like-minded clients. We would like to thank all of our clients for making it a successful year and look forward to working with you all in the future to create something special!”
