Pool Innovation Centre

The Pool Innovation Centre (PIC) is a state-of-the-art three storey building with rentable floor space, providing high quality, flexible managed workspace and business support for start-up and existing businesses across all sectors, that have high productivity, ambition and the potential for growth.

The Centre consists of 49 offices of five different sizes and includes a shared workspace area to support the incubation of early stage businesses, six shared meeting rooms and a modern conference facility supporting high quality video conferencing. It has been designed to provide flexible accommodation with units ranging in size from 25m² to 90m².

To facilitate tenant circulation, collaboration and networking, all central services including reception, meeting rooms, conference facilities, break-out areas, toilets and kitchens are shared.

The Centre is managed by Plymouth University on behalf of Cornwall Council.

The Trevithick Suite can accommodate up to 90 delegates in a theatre style configuration and 30 in standard boardroom layout. In addition there are three large meeting rooms that can both support up to 25 delegates in theatre layout and 18 in boardroom layout, as well as an additional three smaller meeting rooms accommodating up to six delegates.

How much will it cost?

Office rental rates are negotiable and will be priced according to the requirements of each business. Conferencing and meeting rooms are competitively priced and range from £250 for a full day and £150 for a half day for the Trevithick Suite to £20 for a full day in one of our meeting rooms. The Pool Innovation Centre is suitable for those wanting to start or develop a business based in Cornwall. All applicants should be at ideas stage, early business stage, or can be an established business with a new product or service to develop. The Centre will also consider businesses keen to refocus and develop their offer in order to become sustainable and is looking for applicants that demonstrate innovation, passion, commitment, high standards and potential for growth.
