Health & Wellbeing Innovation Centre

The Health & Wellbeing Innovation Centre at Treliske in Truro is a business acceleration facility that welcomes knowledge-based business in sectors that support health and/or wellbeing.

What is the Health and Wellbeing Innovation Centre?

The Health and Wellbeing Innovation Centre* (HWIC) is a state-of-the-art three storey building with a fourth lower conference area and a total net rentable floor space of approximately 2000m². Accommodating up to 70 enterprises, the Centre facilitates business growth by providing dynamic office space, access to individually tailored business support services, cutting-edge meeting and conference facilities, informal networking areas, fabulous connectivity and technology and the connection to a vibrant and collaborative business community.

The Centre has been designed and built to the BREEAM Excellence standard, one of the highest levels of environmental accreditation available for new buildings. This ensures that HWIC's environmental impact was low during construction and will also be throughout its lifespan.

The management of the Centre is being delivered by Plymouth University on behalf of Cornwall Council. The building of the Centre has been supported by European Regional Development Fund Convergence Programme, Cornwall Development Company, NHS Innovations South West, Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust and Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry.
