Offshore wind supply chain opportunities
Is your company involved in the offshore wind turbine supply chain? Do you think you could take advantage of this lucrative and growing sector?
Offshore wind is estimated to be worth £204 million to businesses between 2010 and 2015 and the Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) is looking for ambitious companies who want to grow and believe they can take advantage of this opportunity.
The generation of power through offshore wind turbines is rapidly increasing, and there is no sign of the development stopping.
The London Array wind farm, located in the Thames Estuary, is under construction and is set to be the largest offshore wind farm in the world.
With more construction taking place at the London Array and on other sites including the Atlantic Array off the north Cornwall coast, there are numerous opportunities to become part of the turbine supply chain and, to help SME manufacturers take advantage, MAS is creating a Wind Turbine Communication Pool.
Any company can register to be part of this group. If you register, MAS will communicate any important messages regarding this supply chain to you.
If you would like to become part of the MAS Wind Turbine Communication Pool, please e-mail [email protected] with your company name and main area of business.
