You're Hired! is looking for employers to join project
You're Hired! Plymouth is the city's leading business and employment skills competition for sixth formers, and has been pursuing its annual search for "Plymouth‟s most employable 17 year old".
The competition, now in its sixth year, was started by a group of local employers and now involves most sixth formers in the city.
Schools hold an in-house challenge day for their students where employers set challenges based on their industry and students, although working in teams, are judged individually. Each company scrutinises the skills and attitudes displayed by the students whilst working on their challenges.
Four students from each school are then selected to compete in the intense Apprentice-style "You‟re Hired! Plymouth" final on 27 and 28 June 2013.
Employers are needed in the new academic year for the delivery of this exciting initiative, and are invited to help celebrate the achievements of these dynamic young people.
The awards ceremony will take place on Friday 28 June 2013 from 5.20pm to 7pm. The guest speaker will be James Brent, owner and Chairman of Plymouth Argyle.
